Porcelain Sculpture Leopard by Arthur Storch

Porcelain sculpture of a seated, growling leopard, designed by Arthur Storch (1870-1947) in 1920 and produced by Schwarzburger Werkstätten in Unterweißbach, Thuringia.

The sculpture stands on a rectangular, white glazed pedestal with natural details. The leopard sits gracefully but in a tense pose as if ready to pounce. The animal looks hissing at the viewer.

The sculpture is highly detailed and faithfully rendered, with a realistic painted coat pattern under the glaze. The artwork is high quality and artistically executed. At the top of the base is the monogram “ASt.” of Arthur Storch, including the design year.

The pedestal also bears the manufacturer's mark: “Schwarzburger Werkstätten für Porzellankunst” with the logo, dated 1926. In addition, the model number U 1221 and a stamped number 8 are visible.

Overall, the sculpture is in good original condition!
